Tournament Pools OCSSAA 2010 

Tournament Format 

1. Pool games and quarter-finals are scheduled for Friday, February 5^th. All other playoff games are scheduled for Saturday, February 6^th.
2. One important note about pool play: If you win your first pool game (Blue, Red, & Green pool) you have already qualified for the “A” flight. The second game in each pool is to determine pool seeding for the playoffs (1^st and 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th).
3. Teams will play their way into either the "A" flight or the "B" flight through pool play on Friday.
4. The top two teams from each pool advance to the "A" flight round.  The bottom two teams from each pool advance to the "B" flight round.
5. There will be results posters at each of the three locations and communication will take place between the schools so that results are always up-to-date.
6. Tie-breaking for pool placing is as follows.  First, head-to-head results.  Second, fewest points allowed among teams tied.  Third, fewest points allowed in all pool games.  Fourth, lowest point differential among teams tied.
7. Tournament awards include: gold medals and trophy for the championship winners of the “A” and “B” flights; silver medals for the championship finalists of the “A” and “B” flights; plaques for the consolation winners of the “A” and “B".
8. Please send your entry fee to Guido de Bres. The cost for the tournament is $215.00 per team. Make cheques payable to “Guido Leadership Council”
