Please click on any one of the sports for more information. Guido de Bres Christian High School has been a member of SOSSA (Southern Ontario Secondary Schools Association) since 1995. SOSSA is the sport governing body that regulates sport for the Niagara Peninsula and the city of Hamilton. For more information about SOSSA go to www.sossa.on.ca Guido de Bres sport teams currently participate in SOSSA Zone 1. All of the schools in Zone 1 are located in Hamilton and most of them are members of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. This school board provides two full-time employees to operate the extra-curricular sports program. For more information about Zone 1 athletics go to www.hwdsb.on.ca/athletics and follow the links to secondary athletics. All schools in Ontario that operate sport programs receive much of their direction and regulations from OFSAA (Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations). SOSSA is an important regional association, but it usually follows the direction given by OFSAA. OFSAA also convenes provincial championships for all High School sports. For more information about OFSAA go to www.ofsaa.on.ca Guido de Bres is also a member of OCSSAA (Ontario Christian Secondary Schools Athletic Association).
